Welcome to the upbeat where the ink spot takes a break from breaking news and talks about what's making us happy this week. My name is Bella green, and I'm here with

CARTER HULL  0:08
Kirsten Santana and Carter hull.

Bella Green  0:13
Kirsten, what's making you happy this week?

KIRSTEN SANTANA  0:17
I feel like the thing that made me happy this week is I got to go to Tanner's orchard. And that was fun, because, did you know that they charge you $10 if you go on the weekend, but they don't charge you if you go on a weekday. What? Yeah, that's so weird, yeah. So we got to go in for free.

CARTER HULL  0:34
What do you even do a Tanners orchard? They have, like,

KIRSTEN SANTANA  0:36
this giant Gift Shop thing. They have nuts and apples, and a lot of apples, and you can jump on this inflatable thingy. And then you can also go on the seesaw. The seesaw, seesaw was my favorite. Is

CARTER HULL  0:52
it big the seesaw, or is it like a normal size seesaw?

KIRSTEN SANTANA  0:56
It was kind of normal, but it was the first time I've ever been on a

CARTER HULL  0:59
seesaw. That's cool. That's cool

Bella Green  1:01
is it set up like Raiders, like the same,

KIRSTEN SANTANA  1:04
I don't remember what Raiders looks like. Yeah, I

Bella Green  1:08
don't know. It's just like a bunch of like thing, like, they have, like, the pumpkin thing, like in the front, and then like, all kinds of different activities around, yeah, their activities

KIRSTEN SANTANA  1:16
are in the back, and then their like gift shop is like, what's in the front the

CARTER HULL  1:21
gift what's at the gift shop? Yeah,

KIRSTEN SANTANA  1:26
flavored things like candles and cardigans, apple flavored cardigans, sweaters with cart with apples on them.

CARTER HULL  1:35
That makes way more sense.

KIRSTEN SANTANA  1:37
What made you happy this week?

CARTER HULL  1:38
Carter, well, I went to see the new Pharrell movie. It was Legos, and part of the Creator announced his new album. So that's pretty cool. He

Bella Green  1:49
was, like, a concept of the album, like, it kind of looks scary. It,

CARTER HULL  1:53
I don't know, it doesn't come out yet, but it seems like it's supposed to be, like, you know, she's gonna be on it. So I guess that's pretty cool.

KIRSTEN SANTANA  2:03
Isn't Daniel Caesar also gonna be on there? Yeah, I like Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean. Then

CARTER HULL  2:09
you should listen to the new title of the Creator album, chromocopia, when it comes out on October, october 28 it's on a Monday. Interesting

KIRSTEN SANTANA  2:19
day. Okay,

CARTER HULL  2:24
Bella, what's making you happy this week?

Bella Green  2:29
So earlier this week, the ink spot was honored at the unit five board meeting about like, what's something good that's happened this week? So what made me happy was seeing bovenker cry. But I don't know it was happy because he was talking about all the accomplishments that we've had, and like he was talking about, because it's a award for last year, the Gallup award. So he's talking about all the people that left and that are doing stuff in college. I don't know. He's really sweet, yeah. But also in sociology, I really like, like, what Mr. Robinson's doing, like, with these impact projects, yeah? Like, he does them every year. And I don't know, it's cool seeing, like, all the stuff, like the feminism Club was because of sociology. Like, a lot of the artwork in our school is because of sociology, like the clouds at the end of that hallway, and I don't know, like, one year there was, like, a basketball tournament, it's like, Cole's like, seeing, like, oh, that's because of, like, what Mr. Robinson did in sociology. So working on that has been fun for my own group. You're doing? What am I doing? Um, you know, my group had a few different ideas and been around a little bit. Um, but I think we're going to work with the Western Bloomington revitalization project, which kind of does a lot of things for the west side of Bloomington. But what we're specifically going to do, I think, is our settled idea is we're going to do a book collection. I don't know all the details. We're still working out, like, venues and stuff, but yeah, we're gonna try to, like, get books and get them for other people in West Bloomington. Love

KIRSTEN SANTANA  4:34
Mr. Robinson so much. I love his like, curriculum is the right word. Yeah, it's really not easy. It's

CARTER HULL  4:42
very easy.

I just have to show up and do it work grading. Now, actually, it's not really grades. It's just turning in. If you turn

it in, you get all the points for it.

KIRSTEN SANTANA  4:52
Even if you get everything wrong, there's no right or wrong answers.

CARTER HULL  4:55
That's the secret

KIRSTEN SANTANA  4:57
standard based grading got. To him.

CARTER HULL  5:01
Well, we're getting rid of standards based grading now anyway, so I

Bella Green  5:05
don't think I have a single standard based grading class this year.

CARTER HULL  5:08
They're flushing it out of the high school after all that, huh? Now they're getting rid of it. So much they're getting rid of it, I guess. I guess that'll be all for this week,

Bella Green  5:20
tell us your favorite stories of what's been making you happy this week as well. Bye, bye. You.
